Top 5 Movies That Will Tide Me Over Until Summer
There is something about the winter season that equals bad movies. Once we get Thanksgiving and Christmas out of the way all the good movies kind of dry up until summer. But have no fear! I poked around the internets and found some movies that I think might just make this cold season a little bit more awesome. What five movies are you looking forward to this winter?
5. Inkheart: (January 23rd) Brendan Fraser plays a character who has the power to bring books to life by reading them out loud, literally. He reads it and then the next thing you know the character is right in front of him. I’ll admit I am a fan of this movie on principle. I like the high fantasy stuff. But what makes it even better is that he starts reading all these classic books like the Wizard of Oz and my childhood favorites start springing to life.

4. Fanboys: (Feburary 6th) The year is 1999 and a teenage Star Wars fan final wish. His friends decide to take him on a road trip to Skywalker Ranch to see unreleased film Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. This movie might sound kind of sad but it is supposed to be hilarious. I kind of feel bad for the guy though. Episode 1 was terrible.

3. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (January 23rd): The setting of the movie is a world where vampires and werewolves wage a shadow war right under the noses of humanity. This movie is a prequel to the previous two movies that were set in present day. This one turns back the clock a few centuries and focuses on why wolfmen hate the blood suckers so much. Expect great battle sequences and explosions.

2. Paul Blart: Mall Cop: (January 16th) I’m a huge fan of a Kevin James. He starred on the TV show King of Queens and in the movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. In this one he plays small town mall security guard tries to foil the plan of some crazy organized thieves that break into his mall.

1. Defiance: (January 16th) Daniel Craig is an awesome James Bond. After watching Casino Royal I couldn’t help but think “How could this guy get any cooler?” Well I’ll tell you how, he could fight Nazis. In his new movie he plays the leader of an underground resistance movement that defies Nazi rule during World War II.

Defiance is interesting to me because of Daniel Craig and Jamie Bell. I’ve been following actors. So for 2009, I’m looking forward to Harry Potter 6, The Soloist, and movies with Gary Oldman-even The Unborn out on the 9th.
Love the site, Josh!

Inkheart the book is like one of my favorite books of all time and i will admit the movie was a disappointment
it was obviously a low budget movie and will Brendan Fraser looked like mo he is a bad actor and the girl who played Meggie looked like 6 years old and Basta just looked dumb. Plus Gwin looked to much like a weazel.
I read the book of Ink Heart and I’m selling it just to let you know. I have not seen the movie yet but check the video store all the time I can’t wait to see it. By the way Josh I think you should go on oprahs show just tell me when you’re on. Thanks.
