Hey Josh,
My mom recently told me that I have a half brother that was given up for adoption and I don’t know what to do. I’m happy because I think it might be cool to have an older brother, but then again I have no idea who he is, who adopted him, who the father is, or if he’s a good person. He’s my brother but no more than a stranger to me at the same time.
What’s bothering me the most is that it could’ve happened to me but it didn’t. Please help. What do you think I should do?
-Nathan

Crazy situation.
I’ll keep this short and sweet:
It’s better to go for it and give it a try than spend the rest of your life wondering what would have happened, and how things would have been different.
yea that would be confusing but you can’t spend your whole life asking yourself what if!!! you have to move on and make the best of things!!! and as for your half brother get to know him then he won’t be a stranger!!
I found my half-brother (and sister) on myspace about a year and half ago.We don’t have a really close relationship, but finding them, and having them as good friends put some of the pieces of my life back together. Just go for it – hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Good luck.
i have the same situation. i met my half brother when i was in fourth grade and not i’m a sophmore. i havent seen him since and dont know were he is. but if i were you i would go for it. if i could i would want to have a relationship with my older brother. i acctually know what town he lives in and thats it. but good luck.
